SAEOPP Elections 2024

Calling all leaders with interest of running for SAEOPP Executive Offices (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary). Nominations for 2025-2027 SAEOPP Officers is currently underway!  The process will involve 4 steps:

1)      Nominations Form: All candidates interested in running for office needs to complete the nominations form that can be found on the flyer attached or here: https://forms.gle/9Ra6Eej4x73NJxJ79.  

2)      Statement of Support (download here): All candidates need the statement of support completed by both their Respective Supervisor and State President.  Once these forms are completed, email it to: election@saeopp.org.

·         The nomination form and signed statement(s) of support must be completed by close of business July 15th 2024 (5pm EST)

3)      Campaign: Once your application has been received and approved the campaign period for office will take place from July 17 to July 31, 2024.  The nominations committee will hold a Zoom meeting with all candidates on July 16, 2024  to discuss the rules of campaigning.  No campaigning or formal announcements are allowed prior to that meeting. 

4)      Elections: Voting by members in the region will take place from August 1-August 31, 2024 (no campaigning during the election period).

General Minimum Qualifications to run for office

· Active Professional Member in Good Standing with the Organization

.  Minimum of 2 consecutive years of membership immediately prior to running for office

· Fair Share Personal Contributor

. Time Frame - at least 2 consecutive years

· Education – Bachelor’s Degree Obtained

· Trio Work Experience: 2 years or more immediately prior to running for office

· TRIO Leadership Experience/Service: 2 years active involvement (Officer and/or committee chair) in State, Regional, or National Organization

Preferred: Prior SAEOPP Board Member/SAEOPP Committee Chair
