ABOUT SAEOPP TRAINING

The U. S. Department of Education [ED] has funded SAEOPP to conduct TRIO Training Workshops that will enhance the skills and expertise of project directors and staff employed in the federal TRIO programs. Training topics are based on priorities established by the secretary of education.

ED TRAINING GOAL: Increase the qualifications and skills of TRIO staff in meeting the needs of disadvantaged students and increase their knowledge and understanding of Federal TRIO Programs

PRIORITY 1:"Record Keeping; Reporting Student & Project Performance; and the Rigorous Evaluation of Project Performance, In Order to Design and Operate a Model TRiO Project" Strategies"

PRIORITY 3: "Assessment of Student Needs; Proven Retention & Graduation and the Use of Educational Technology, In Order to Design and Operate a Model TRiO Project"
